Solar Art gets calls every day throughout the entire year from customers experiencing high levels of heat and glare or have an extremely high electricity bill that isn’t manageable. Keep on reading to learn more about how window film helped this homeowner reduce heat, reduce glare, and make their home more energy efficient!
Solar Art’s goal was to first figure out the specific problems the homeowner was experiencing and how they are looking for window film to help them. Once we have an idea of what the customer is looking for, we can make suggestions and help them figure out the perfect window film for their project. To do this, we had to meet with the customer at their home to learn the specific details and look at the glass in question. Our sales representative met with the customer at the home and could immediately see the problems they were having. The home has a ton of glass, one sunroom in particular, where the sun radiates through the glass and makes the whole space hot and uncomfortable. The customer’s main goals were to find a window film that reduces heat, reduces glare, and lowers the electricity bill.
Once our team met with the customer, we had a better understanding of what they were looking for and we were ready to make some suggestions. Reducing heat and reducing glare fall under the solar film category, so that is where our sales representative started making suggestions. From there, he focused on energy-efficient window films that would reduce heat and glare, as well as lower the homeowner’s electricity bill. One window film that he thought of in particular that would be a good fit for this project is a Vista window film called VE50. He recommended this window film amongst a few others to the homeowner because it is a Low-E window film, which means that it improves year-round energy efficiency by retaining heat in the winter and keeping heat out in the summer. This kind of window film is perfect for installations where energy efficiency is the primary concern.
After the customer worked with our sales representative and heard his recommendations, he was ready to make a decision and move forward with the project. Ultimately, the customer decided to take our sales representative’s suggestion and move forward with the Vista energy-efficient window film. He chose this window film because it reduces 55% of heat, 43% of glare, and 99% of ultraviolet rays. Not to mention, it is going to make the home more energy-efficient and lower electricity costs year-round. This energy-efficient window film works perfectly for both residential and commercial spaces.
This installation ended up being nine panes and 89 square feet of energy-efficient window film installed. It took one of our expert installers three hours to complete. Overall, Solar Art thought this project was a success. We were able to help the homeowner find a window film that made their home more energy efficient year-round and reduce a significant amount of heat and glare during the hot summer months. In addition to energy-efficient window film and solar film, Solar Art also services decorative window film, custom graphics, anti-graffiti film, window security film, and exterior building wraps.
