Solar Art installed vinyl window film to an elementary school in Silverdale, Washington! This customer wasn’t too familiar with window film, but they were looking to do a few things for the glass throughout the building. With all of the things we have been hearing on the news, this elementary school was trying to increase safety for the students and the staff. They also have a lot of glass windows in the hallways where they wanted to add some color to make the space more welcoming and inviting for the students. They had actually read an article on security window film when they were looking up ways to increase safety, so they called up Solar Art to see if we could help them with both of the things they were looking for! Our sales representative met with the customer at the school to take a look at the glass they wanted to get filmed as well as take measurements and show the customer different samples. They wanted to get this installation finished before school started up again to avoid the hassle and so the kids could enjoy it on the first day of class.
Our sales representative showed the customer samples of security window film so they could see what it feels and looks like. They ended up installing 3M-Safety S80 to the glass on each of the classrooms. They wanted to increase safety as much as possible for students and staff. Security window film increases the strength of glass by 2-3 times. This will prolong forced entry time and allow more time for help to get there. This was a no brainer for the school and they knew instantly they wanted to install it to all of the classroom glass. The decorative factor was a little more tricky because you have a lot of different options. Since the customer was looking for color, our sales representative instantly thought of vinyl window film. Different manufacturers make vinyl window film that comes in different colors, or our in house graphics team can make custom vinyl. The customer really liked Decorative Films vinyl window film. They ended up having red, blue, and yellow vinyl window film installed on each of the glass panes in the hallway. The customer was really happy with the results of the installation because the school looked so cool! The vinyl window film added a fun pop of color as well as increased privacy. Both security window film and vinyl window film can easily be removed with no damage to the glass if the customer decides they no longer want it or if it gets damaged over time. In addition to vinyl window film and security window film, Solar Art also services solar film, decorative window film, anti graffiti film, custom graphics and exterior building wraps.
