Solar Art installed custom graphics to the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California! The boardroom of the hotel has large glass windows and doors that perimeter the entire room. As you can see from the before photo below, anyone walking by the boardroom has full visibility into the room. You can easily see everyone in the conference meeting as well as what is being presented on the TV. The customer was looking for increased privacy so that what is being presented and talked about remains as confidential as possible. Solar Art is fortunate enough to do a lot of work with the Manchester Grand Hyatt. We have installed solar film as well as frosted window film and decorative window film to the guest rooms throughout the hotel. With that being said, the customer gave us a call to see if we could also help them with the privacy issue in the boardroom. Just like always, our sales representative met the customer onsite to measure the glass and talk with them about what their options are for increased privacy. Our sales representative first talked about decorative window film and the different routes the customer can go with that. He then talked about custom graphics and how that could be used to increase privacy and what different options the customer has if they decide to go that route. The customer was really interested in getting custom graphics installed to the boardroom because they thought in addition to increased privacy, they could also add a really cool custom design to the hotel.

After hearing all of the different options they have, the customer decided they wanted to have custom graphics installed. They weren’t sure what kind of custom graphics they wanted to have installed, which is completely okay. Our in house graphics team is there to help you every step of the way. The customer decided that they wanted the San Diego skyline to be installed to the boardroom glass. They sent a photo over to our graphics department and they made it come to life. They worked to find the best way to make the photo work for the glass, to really show off the skyline. From there, our graphics department gave the customer two different proofs with two options they have. They showed them a black and white version that had more privacy, as well as a cut out option that had a little less privacy. The customer decided to go with the first option since they were looking for maximum privacy. As you can see from the after photo, privacy was significantly increased. People walking by aren’t able to see into the boardroom at all. Not to mention, they now get to see a really cool custom design that wasn’t there before.
