Commercial Window Tinting at a Doughnut Shop in Los Angeles, California

Business owners, are you experiencing problems with your storefront glass or any other glass in your business? If so, we’ve got a case study for you! Solar Art recently installed anti-graffiti film, privacy window film, and solar film to a doughnut shop in Los Angeles, California! The business owner was experiencing a lack of privacy, extreme heat, and problems with vandalism and damage. The business owner heard about Solar Art from a friend who used us for similar problems. The business owner decided to reach out to Solar Art for a free consultation to learn more about commercial window film and to see if it would be a good fit for her shop. Keep on reading to learn more about the different window films the business owner installed and how they helped her commercial space!

Solar Art's Goals

Since this customer isn’t familiar with window film, Solar Art’s goals were to educate her on the different types of window films available and how they could benefit her shop. From there, our goal was to help her find window film solutions that would work best for her and her commercial space. To do this, one of our Los Angeles sales representatives met with the business owner at the shop to take a look at the glass in question. While onsite, the business owner showed our sales representative the glass that needed additional privacy. The business owner explained that they were looking for privacy window film only on the bottom portion of the glass. From there, the customer let our sales representative know that they needed reduced heat in the kitchen and vandalism protection on the storefront glass.

Solar Art's Suggestions

After our sales representative met with the business owner and got a better understanding of the problems they were experiencing and what they were looking for window film to accomplish, he was ready to make a few suggestions. For the windows that needed additional privacy, our sales representative suggested a 3M decorative window film, because they will all prevent people outside from being able to see in. For the glass that needed reduced heat, our sales representative suggested a 3M Prestige window film, because it is going to reduce heat, reduce glare, and protect against sun fading, without blocking views outside or drastically changing the look of the space. Finally, for the area that needed protection against vandalism, our sales representative suggested an anti-graffiti film. From there, he showed the business owner different window film samples so she could see what they looked like and pick the best option for the shop.

What the Customer Chose

After meeting with our sales representative and learning more about his suggestions and the different commercial window films that are available on the market, the business owner was ready to make some decisions. The business owner decided to install 3M Milano, which is a decorative window film for the windows that needed additional privacy because it is aesthetically pleasing and is going to prevent people from being able to see in. For the glass that needs reduced heat, the business owner decided to install 3M Prestige 70. This solar film blocks 50% of heat, 23% of glare, and 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays. This solar film has low reflectivity, which means that it is going to enhance the overall views and beauty of the shop, not take away from it. Finally, the business owner decided to install anti-graffiti film on the windows that needed protection against vandalism. Anti-graffiti film is a thick window film that is installed directly onto glass surfaces and protects against graffiti, etching, scratching, everyday wear and tear, and more.

Results of the Window Film Installation

This installation ended up being 111 square feet of window film and took two of our installers 3.5 hours to complete. Overall, the Solar Art team felt that this installation was a success. We were able to help the business owner solve many problems with commercial window film. In addition to solar film, privacy window film, decorative window film, and anti-graffiti film, Solar Art also services custom graphics and security window film.
