Solar Art installed exterior window film to the Brea Improv Center in Brea, California. The Brea Improv Center is gorgeous! The inside is so beautifully decorated and it is such a fun place for people to go enjoy. As you can see from the photos, the exterior of the building is comprised of large windows. As you can imagine, they let in a ton of heat. Obviously this center is home to the comedy club, but it also has a large place for people to sit and get some work done if they want. For a place where people go to hangout and get stuff done, heat and glare are not good things. The owner of the building was looking for a solution to reduce heat and reduce glare. They actually did some research and became really intrigued with exterior window film. They like the look it gives buildings and wanted to learn more about it.
With that being said, they reached out to Solar Art to learn more and see if it would be a good fit for their building. Exterior window film as you can imagine is installed on the exterior of the glass. According to Llumar, exterior window film, “has a strong, scratch-resistant coating that enables them to stand up to the demands and exposure that are inevitable with exterior installation.” Exterior window film is also an extreme heat blocking window film and glare reducing window film that can make a significant difference in the building. After working with our sales representative and learning about the different exterior window film options they have, the building owner decided to go with Llumar NHE20, which is an exterior neutral window film. NHE20 blocks 72% of glare, 73% of heat, and 99% of harmful UVA and UVA sun rays! This will make a significant difference in the way the building feels. The customer was so happy with the outcome of the installation. Their original issues with heat and glare were fixed and both guests and employees commented on how much more comfortable they felt. In addition to the heat and glare benefits, the customer loved the way it made the outside of their building look. As you can see from the picture, this exterior window film is a reflective window film that looks similar to a one way mirror film. Like Llumar said, exterior window film has a strong coating to protect against harsh weather and will perform for several years. It is important to note that exterior window film generally does not have as long a lifespan as interior window film due to the fact that it does endure weather. If after years your exterior window film does get weathered, it can easily be removed and replaced with a fresh layer with no damage to the glass. In addition to exterior window film, Solar Art also services solar film for interior glass, decorative window film, security window film, anti graffiti film, custom graphics and exterior building wraps.
